what is the mechanical structure of electric mining locomotive?

The mechanical part of the mining electric locomotive or mining battery locomotive includes the frame, wheel set, bearing and bearing box, spring bracket, braking device, gear transmission device, connecting buffer device, sanding device and air compression system.

(1)Electric Mining Locomotive Frame

The frame is the body member of the electric locomotive. The structure is generally plate type and steel frame type, consisting of side plates, partitions, end plates and bottom plates. 

(2) Electric Mining Locomotive Wheelset

The wheel set consists of two wheels press-fitted on a shaft, which help mining locomotive to running.

(3) Bearing and bearing box of mining locomotive

Both ends of the axle of the electric locomotive are installed in the bearing box, which is the connection point between the frame and the wheel set.

4) Spring bracket of mining locomotive

The spring bracket is composed of leaf springs, equalizing beams and spring brackets.

(5) Gear transmission of mining locomotive

The role of the gear transmission system is to transmit the torque of the traction motor to the wheelset, and the other is to shift gears.

6) Braking device of mining locomotive

The braking device is designed for decelerating or stopping the electric locomotive during operation. There are three braking methods, namely mechanical braking, air brake method and hydraulic method.

7) Sand spreading device of mining locomotive

The sand spreading device is composed of tie rods, return springs, sand drums, sand pipes and other parts.

(8) Buffer device of mining locomotive

The connection buffer device is commonly known as the magnetic head, which is used to connect with the mining cart and protect the box from damage in the event of a collision.
