The 15 ton battery locomotive suitable for transportation and traction of non-explosion-proof places such as narrow-gauge railway grounds in industries or metallurgy, mining, forests, railways, and highway tunnel construction.
The 15 Ton underground mining battery locomotive is supplied with DC power from a battery box. The DC power is converted into three-phase AC power with adjustable voltage and frequency by a traction converter for two AC squirrel-cage induction motors. Each motor rotor drives a gear reduction transmission box through a universal joint, and is reduced to the axle through a two-stage gear, thereby traction the locomotive.
