The CTL-8 double-cab electric locomotive is divided into two parts: mechanical and electrical. The mechanical part is composed of car body, brake system, driver's cab, sanding device, suspension device and leaf spring. The electrical part consists of an explosion-proof DC traction motor, an explosion-proof chopper controller, an explosion-proof special current device, an explosion-proof lighting lamp, etc., using SCR chopping control system or IGBT chopping control system.
Advantages:
1. Compared with the single driver's cab locomotive, there is one more driver's cab, which can be operated at two ends, which is flexible and convenient to operate, improves the safety of driving operation.
2. The speed regulation range is precision stepless speed regulation, the lowest adjustable frequency is 0.1Hz, and the lowest wheel speed can be adjusted to 1r/min.
3. The zero position of the governor is the braking position. When the locomotive is lowered to low speed operation, although the locomotive has high-speed inertia, the locomotive still runs at the set speed. In fact, the motor plays a decelerating and braking role at this time (when the adhesion conditions are not destroyed).
4. When the driver's improper operation causes the inverter to be ≥85℃, the governor will automatically block the output.
5. The speed governor has protection functions such as motor short-circuit, phase loss, over-voltage and under-voltage.
