From this video you could see that the brake distance is only several meters(5-10m), according to the loading capacity.
And in this locomotive, we used the air brake brake method, so what's the advantage of air brake in mining locomotive?
Air brake is the use of air pressure to bring hand power. It has the advantages of fast response, large braking force and convenient operation. It is suitable for occasions with high speed, large tonnage locomotive and required high braking effect (usually the mining locomotive above 5 ton). It also has the advantages of low cost, convenient installation, convenient maintenance and easy to repair.
