Why the mining locomotive have poor brake force?

2021-08-02

The reason that the mining locomotive have poor brake ability as below:

① The brake shoes are seriously worn, the remaining thickness is less than 10 mm, and there is no guarantee that the brake pads and the rim maintain a gap of 2 to 3 mm.

② The wear of the screw, nut, pin and hole of the brake system exceeds the limit.

③The balance beam and boom of the braking system are generated due to external force

Deformation, poor brake shoe contact during braking.

④ The 1.9K W motor and the air compressor do not work, and the contact of the electric contact pressure gauge is poor, Malfunction of foot valve and trachea.

⑤ Failure to follow the locomotive regulations, the load is severely overloaded.

The above is the reason for the poor braking capacity of the electric locomotive.
