A client from a fluorite mine paid a visit to Xiangtan Electric Locomotive Factory, focusing on our popular 2.5 ton battery electric locomotive. This compact and efficient mining solution has proven performance in both domestic and international projects.
With a pulling capacity of around 20 tons, it is well-suited for short-haul transport in narrow underground spaces. The locomotive is available with either a lead-acid or lithium battery. Notably, for coal mines requiring explosion-proof designs, only lead-acid batteries can be installed due to safety regulations. The minimum track gauge can be customized down to 457mm to meet specific mine needs.
The client observed actual machine demonstrations and received a comprehensive overview of successful application cases. After hands-on testing, the customer praised the design and ease of operation.
Later, in the technical meeting, both sides exchanged valuable insights. The visit concluded with a positive outlook and a shared interest in formal cooperation on Xiangtan electric locomotives.
